Olathe, Kansas — October 15, 2025 — ChiliFresh Enterprises, Inc. (chilifresh.com), a trusted provider of enhanced catalog content for libraries, today announced an offer to assist libraries currently relying on Baker & Taylor’s Enhanced Content services in transitioning to ChiliFresh’s enhanced content with minimal disruption.

With Baker & Taylor’s recent announcement that it will wind down operations and cease serving libraries beginning January 2026, many institutions face the imminent loss of vital catalog enrichment — including book jacket cover art and professional or patron reviews. Baker & Taylor has long been among the largest providers of such services to the library sector.

ChiliFresh, which has supported libraries since 2008, offers a mature, scalable alternative for enhanced content (ChiliFresh.com). In response to the disruption posed by Baker & Taylor’s exit, ChiliFresh is extending a special transition offer to libraries currently under B&T contracts:

- ChiliFresh will match the pricing structure (for comparable services) of existing B&T Enhanced Content agreements.

- ChiliFresh will assume responsibility for the portion of any existing B&T contract that has already been prepaid, thereby eliminating stranded costs for libraries that switch.

- The migration process will be prioritized to ensure continuity — eliminating any downtime, fast onboarding, and support during the transition.

“Libraries deserve certainty and continuity in their catalog content,” said Scott Johnson, President & CEO at ChiliFresh. “With Baker & Taylor exiting the space, we see an urgent need to step in as a reliable partner and help libraries preserve the integrity of their catalogs for patrons.”

Many libraries have already expressed interest, reaching out to ChiliFresh ahead of the January shutdown date to coordinate implementation plans.

ChiliFresh’s platforms support integration of cover art, user reviews, and catalog-embedded booklists, and is widely used in public, academic, school and consortial settings globally.

Libraries interested in exploring the transition should contact ChiliFresh’s library team at info@chilifresh.com or visit chilifresh.com for more information.
