This book is stepping back in time to Kentucky during the Great Depression, where Alice Grace, who lives primarily in the fantasy of books, has left the comfort of Illinois, and delivered several boxes of books for the poor people there. She is fleeing for 2 weeks, to escape the embarrassment of her boyfriend dumping her, and lands smack dab in the middle of mysterious events. It's romantic, sweet, and intriguing. I LOVED this book.
