This book really wasn't what I expected it to be. I wasn't a huge fan of the writing style. I was touched by his story and really appreciate his courage in sharing his story.

| Not my favorite | June 01, 2011 |

Overall, this book wasn't my favorite. It is a really sad story and I commend the author for sharing such personal thoughts and moments. I just prefer a different writing style. It was difficult for me to really get into the book.

This book wasn't what I expected at all. Yes, it is very sad but the style of writing wasn't my favorite. I feel for the family and for his courage in sharing intimate moments. Overall it was a little boring.

| Raves for Rosenblatt | December 11, 2010 |

This personal account of love and loss melted my heart. It shared the courage of a talented professor, writer and father who not only faces the loss of a daughter but the beauty and challenges of grandparenting.

| Impossible Grief | February 22, 2010 |
| By: Shirley | Kalamazoo, Michigan (US) | |
Another reviewer used the words spare and elegant to describe this memoir of grief. Perfect adjectives. I cried and laughed while reading about one family's process of coping with the impossible sudden death of beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, friend - Amy. It is not at all sappy. The family is very real - albeit one with more connections and resources than the average bear.
