SirsiDynix and ChiliFresh Partner for Flexible Community Review Features

Provo, UT, December 11, 2008 – SirsiDynix, the leader in successful library automation, is pleased to announce a partnership with ChiliFresh, offering libraries and patrons an easy way to create and read reader reviews, with complete customization abilities for libraries. The partnership gives libraries seamless integration between SirsiDynix OPACs, SirsiDynix Enterprise and the review engine.

At present, library patrons from around the world view ChiliFresh review content from library catalogs in excess of 60 million times each month. ChiliFresh currently has patrons reading and writing reviews through library OPACs in the U.S., Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Hong Kong. The ChiliFresh Review Engine enhances the value of a library’s website by giving patrons a way to interact with the online catalog by reading and writing book reviews and providing ratings right in the catalog interface.

Polaris Library Systems Partners with ChiliFresh.com

Syracuse, NY, May 6, 2008 - Polaris Library Systems, a leading provider of library automation technology, announced a partnership agreement with ChiliFresh.com. The partnership enables Polaris customers to integrate the ChiliFresh Review Engine with Polaris PowerPAC.

The ChiliFresh Review Engine provides an interactive forum for patrons to write and post book reviews and read reviews from library patrons around the world. Starred ratings and reviews, and the ability to write reviews, appear directly in Polaris PowerPAC, making it easy for patrons to view and post reviews.

Alpha-G And ChiliFresh Develop Partnership

Las Vegas, NV, March 23, 2008 – ChiliFresh.com, Web 2.0 leader and innovator for libraries throughout the world today announces a development and marketing relationship with Alph-G Consulting.  As part of this agreement, Alpha-G engineers will work hand-in-hand with ChiliFresh Engineers to develop a seamless integration of the ChiliFresh patron Book Review Engine into SirsiDynix’s Horizon OPAC.

Alpha-G and ChiliFresh will also develop marketing strategies to reach the many hundreds of libraries around the globe that depend on the Horizon platform for their Online Public Access Catalog.

Patron Reviews Live In Salt lake County’s OPAC

After months of cooperation with the ChiliFresh Development team, Salt Lake County Library System integrates the ChiliFresh Patron Review engine into their catalog.  The library patrons of the Salt Lake Metropolitan area can now voice their opinion right from the library’s Online Cataglo.

Colleen Medling, Salt Lake County Library’s Automated Systems Manager talks about the ChiliFresh Review Engine:  “ChiliFresh.com was the perfect solution to allow our patrons to collaborate Ask a librarianonline with each other, the librarians, and the online catalog!  It was a snap to implement and takes very little staff time to moderate reviews.  If you can read 20 emails a day you can easily moderate 20 reviews a day!   Staff were so excited about the concept they volunteered to be moderators.”

New England Library Consortium is first to go live with ChiliFresh!

GMILCS, Inc, a non-profit consortium of twelve public and academic libraries in New Hampshire sharing an integrated system, sharing resources, sharing experience are the first libraries in the world to go live with the ChiliFresh Book Review Engine.  ChiliFresh is the only real web 2.0 platform that integrates directly into the Online Public Access Catalog. Patron can read and write reviews from right inside the OPAC for the first time.

Marilyn Borgendale, System Administrator for the 12 library (public and academic) has been working with the ChiliFresh development team for a number of months to ensure that the patron review component would work seamlessly with their Horizon OPAC (SirsiDynix) and that the patons could benefit from the new interface.
